S-corps and partnerships are due a month before personal returns - which is exactly why a late K-1 turns into an extension you didn’t ask for.

The business return sets the pace for everything else

Your personal return can’t be finished until the entity return is done. We do both, so there’s a clean handoff.

What’s included

Everything you need as a business owner

01

Seamless tax preparation

We prepare your federal, state and local business tax returns, coordinate the information we need, and keep the process moving without leaving you to figure out what comes next.

02

K-1s for owners

For partnerships and S corporations, we prepare K-1s for each owner so their share of the business income, deductions, and other tax items flow properly to their personal returns.

03

Electronic filing and payment

We electronically file your federal and state returns, confirm acceptance, and provide clear instructions for any tax payments that need to be made.

04

Extensions as needed

If your return is not ready by the filing deadline, we prepare and file the necessary extensions and help you understand any estimated payment that may still be due.

05

IRS notice support

If a notice arrives related to a return we prepared, send it our way. We’ll review it, explain what it means, and help you determine the appropriate response.

Frequently asked questions

When will my return actually be filed?

Our target is the original deadline, not an extension. This requires us to have your business information well in advance of the deadline. If something outside your control is missing, we extend deliberately and tell you why.

Do you file the owners’ personal returns too?

Yes, and that’s the point. The business return produces the K-1 that drives your personal return, so having both in one place removes the handoff where most delays happen.

What do you need from me?

You'll receive a request list of information specifically for your situation. In general, closed books for the year, payroll reports, loan and asset detail, and last year’s return if we’re working with us for the first year.

Do you handle multiple states?

Yes. Multi-state filings, nexus questions, and apportionment are part of the work - we file everywhere you have an obligation and tell you where new ones appear.

Can you fix a prior year that was filed wrong?

Often, yes. We’ll review the open years, tell you whether an amended return is worth filing, and handle it if it is.

What if I’m behind on bookkeeping?

We can clean it up first. Filing a return on unreconciled books just moves the problem into your tax file, so cleanup comes before preparation.
