How to pay your taxes

Every federal and state payment option in one place. Find your jurisdiction, type of payment, and pay directly.

Before you pay
  • Use the primary taxpayer's SSN - the first name listed on your return. Payments made under a spouse's SSN often don't get matched to the return.
  • Watch the tax year. When a site asks for the year or period, use the year the income was earned. The Q4 estimate due in January applies to the prior tax year.
  • Save your confirmation. Screenshot or download the confirmation page and upload it to your client portal so we can match the payment to your return.
